NCoder 730 Breakout Board

The NMotion NCoder730 is a breakout board for the MPS MagAlpha MA730 magnetic rotary encoder, designed for high-speed (up to 60,000 RPM) 360° angle measurement. It supports both end-of-shaft and off-axis configurations, with tolerance for a wide range of magnetic field strengths. The MA730 offers 14-bit absolute angle output via SPI and 14-bit PWM output, along with a 12-bit incremental ABZ interface featuring programmable resolution from 1 to 1024 pulses per revolution. On-chip non-volatile memory stores configuration parameters such as zero reference angle and ABZ settings—no dedicated programmer required. Ideal for robotics, automotive systems, and general-purpose high-resolution angle sensing applications.
